Isaac's 3D BoA Editor for Mac was updated.
Isaac updated his 3D Blades of Avernum Editor for Mac:
Here's version 0.12. There is a new feature: You can now change the size of the outdoors after creating your scenario! I would suggest making a backup copy of your scenario file first, in case something goes wrong. The saving could go wrong; remember, this is still beta (although if no one finds any bugs, I am prepared to make this version 1.0*). Also, you might accidentally change the scenario in a way you don't like. This version includes some minor fixes to bugs no-one else probably encountered, they were so obscure. One thing of note is now it accounts for walls of heights greater than 1. While investigating that, I found out that type 1 walls outdoors have 2 height. I fixed it so it works in millions of colors again, and removed the warning on startup if you have millions of colors. I also fixed the bug of calculating light given by terrain incorrectly some of the time. I know of no bugs at this time other than possibly Dahak's problem with scrolling between outdoor sectors, which I have little information on, no way to reproduce, and no idea what could be causing it.
You can get it at his homepage or in the tools section of this site.
Let me add the following quote:
"Also, has anyone made any progress on porting it to PC?"
I've added the bold formating for emphasis. ;)

Scenario file update
It seems that a file from the mac version of "A Perfect Forest" was corrupted. Problem was solved. Separate PC and Mac version are avaiable now.

New scenario: A Perfect Forest
Stareye (*I) released a new scenario, called "A Perfect Forest":
"1474 IE -- Even in these late days of Imperial domination, some areas upon the surface world still remain wild. The twisting mountains, the thick forests, and isolated islands are among these. One of the northern islands of Vantanas, unlike its fellow isles far less tropical and long considered devoid of valuable resources, has become a recent focus of attention. The discovery of very pure copper ores has silenced the obscurity of Valzakov Isle. However, a very dense and thick forest upon the isle has left the isle mostly unexplored.
The wizards have done their best, but scrys can only be so accurate. The time has come to send real explorers to the island to create detailed maps and surveys of the region. Of the few applicants, you have been selected. Granted, the pay is not exactly the best as little danger is anticipated on this mission, but work is work and money is money. You have been given a ride by one of the Empire's many fleetships patrolling the seas on the constant lookout for raiding pirates. Your mission is to survey the island as best you can in the next three months. (...)"
You can get it here, or visit his site there.

Link added: www.dragona.net
Ian Macfarlane has Dungeons & Dragons site called Dragona.net which would like to share with you:
"I'm a big fan of the Exile/Avernum series and made a total conversion to the D&D system of the Nephilim, Nepharim, Slithzeranki and Vahnatai races, plus Nephilim, Slithzeranki, Vahnatai and Null Bugs as monsters (if I remember rightly I've got a half-finished Chitrach too somewhere)."
Just in case some of BoAC's visitors are AD&D fans, here's the link. It was added to the Links section too.
If you think there are other sites that should be added to my Links section, just let me know.

Site update!
Hello everyone!
I'm announcing two (+ one small) additions to the BoA Center:
- Artifact, Skill Trainers and Spell lists, in the Listings section. There you will find some lists with all artifacts, spells and skill trainers you can find in the default and the released custom scenarios. These lists will be updated as new scenarios are released. The lists were created by Imban and Terror's Martyr. Keep up the good work.
- BoAC's News Archive. BoAC has a little over one month now and I hope it will continue for many months. To help your browse BoAC's news, I've added this section. In it you can browse news by category, week or month. It will be useful in the future. ;)
- Contact me. I mean, there's a "Contact me" section, just in case you want to send me an email. You'll just have to use the provided form. Any comments, sugestions, questions, etc are welcome.
And that's all for now. Happy BoA gaming. :)
