Avernum 2 Template, by CPeters (beta version)

As the title says, you'll find a recreation of Avernum 2 outdoors. It also includes towns and scripts. The perfect template, if you want to base your scenario in the Avernum universe. This is still a work in progress, so keep checking for updates.

Just check it out and give your feedback to the author, who's making this gigantic work!

Blades of Avernum Editor Windows v1.0.3 is Out

Jeff Vogel announced that the official Blades of Avernum Editor Windows v1.0.3 is out:

I just put out a v1.0.3 version of the Windows editor. It fixes the problem of the terrain getting messed up when editing a sign (with the instability that follows).
For editor hackers, the main change was in the procedure cd_create_dialog in dlogtool.c.
Also, I've been reading the suggestions and bugs file, and I'll post about that shortly.

You can get it here or download it directly from here (ftp).

Isaac's 3D BoA Editor for Mac was updated.

Isaac updated his 3D Blades of Avernum Editor for Mac:

Here's version 0.12. There is a new feature: You can now change the size of the outdoors after creating your scenario! I would suggest making a backup copy of your scenario file first, in case something goes wrong. The saving could go wrong; remember, this is still beta (although if no one finds any bugs, I am prepared to make this version 1.0*). Also, you might accidentally change the scenario in a way you don't like. This version includes some minor fixes to bugs no-one else probably encountered, they were so obscure. One thing of note is now it accounts for walls of heights greater than 1. While investigating that, I found out that type 1 walls outdoors have 2 height. I fixed it so it works in millions of colors again, and removed the warning on startup if you have millions of colors. I also fixed the bug of calculating light given by terrain incorrectly some of the time. I know of no bugs at this time other than possibly Dahak's problem with scrolling between outdoor sectors, which I have little information on, no way to reproduce, and no idea what could be causing it.

You can get it at his homepage or in the tools section of this site.

Let me add the following quote:

"Also, has anyone made any progress on porting it to PC?"

I've added the bold formating for emphasis. ;)
